So i found this nice little game…. I downloaded the (free) rules pdf on the gzg games website, printed it and bound it in a professional looking document format :-) the rules are nice and i can how other space games (bsg, fsa…) have adapted their ideas. (ft second ed was written in 1992!).

I ordered two intro fleets, the new swabian league and the eurasian solar union, to learn and hopefully get others into playing it. The ‘official’ background is very well written: it is interesting, kinda realistic and just… Well… Generic enoug to make your own narrative. The game rules offers ship building processes, therefore giving llayers the ability to creat vessels from beloved sci-fis like bsg, sg1, star wars… Etc. Althoug i dont have the time to make my own ships, id like to adapt twiligt imperium to these rules to make a nice contribution to the ti universe.

I cant wait for my ships to arrive, but for now, i have my fancy bound book to flick through, and cardboard cutouts to test rules with :-)

New Horizons Flies By Neptune Exactly 25 Years After Voyager 2 In what NASA is calling a “cosmic coincidence” the New Horizons probe makes its flyby of Neptune on the 25th anniversary of Voyager 2’s Neptune encounter. On August 25, 1989, Voyager 2 made its closest flyby of Neptune, making it the first spacecraft to study the planet. During Voyager 2’s flyby, it discovered a massive anticyclonic storm system called the Great Dark Spot, similar to Jupiter’s Great Red Spot. Today, NASA’s New Horizons probe is embarking on an equally exciting journey to another world never before visited by a spacecraft. When the spacecraft arrives on July 14, 2015, it will provide the first detailed images of Pluto. The dwarf planet is so distant from us that even images captured by the Hubble Space Telescope appear blurry. dat practical armor

I love every aspect of this.

NO you guys don’t understand, the entire book is like this. They tried to cram in all sorts of representation of different races and the art is gorgeous and it’s GREAT! The picture for a spellcaster is a female human who is wearing BAGGY, NON-SEXUALIZED CLOTHING AND NO MAKEUP because she’s in a dungeon, she doesn’t have time to do her hair cmon.
Also this:

You know, this makes D&D more accessible to me. I tried to play. I tried to play with a bunch of white dudes and I just couldn’t. I just couldn’t handle all the male fuckery

OMG ALL THE ABOVE COMMENTARY MAKES ME SO HAPPY
!!!!!!!!
